FORUMUL SCRIITORILOR AMATORI :: IMPORTANT CONTEST!!!

Trimis: 07/08/2010 01:24

Hi,

I'm an US citizen Romanian born, and I own a videogames company in San Francisco. It's a startup and I'm looking for some talented writers to develop the stories for the video games.

There are 2 projects that we're currently working on: one is FPS sci-fi and one is RPG fantasy. As a kid I was a fan of Vladimir Colin's fairytales (ex: the tales of the 3 liars) and Al. Mitru's legends (ex: the children of the golden mountain) so I'm looking for stories inspired by Romanian writers or folklore.

Please note that I need a story for a commercial success, so stories like "The Island of the Day Before" (U. Eco) are a bit out of the scope. But stories like "Wallachian Legend" (Al. Mitru) should work just fine.

The winner(s) of the contest get $250 per story and get the job to develop the stories. At this point I'm not looking for completely developed stories of the size of a novel, but at most 2500 words story , covering all the parts in a story (prologue, epilogue, character(s), plot and setting, etc).

The ideal candidate is not only skilled in writing A story, but should know how to write many branches to the same story, see "Run Lola Run", details or choices are different so the outcome is different.
Example: Frodo gets the ring, Frodo takes the ring to Mordor, Frodo destroys the ring, we're all saved and he's a hero. Or Frodo gets the ring, the ring gets Frodo, Frodo goes crazy and keeps the ring, Frodo kills everyone, good or bad, Frodo becomes the ruler of the middle earth and the rest of us are all dead.

Also, the candidate should be able to use mind mapping software like MindManager of FreeMind, etc.

Thanks!
